LA Marathon 2011: Short Summary

On a cold day, with the rain pouring down, I finished the LA marathon in 4:28:06. It was an extremely strong finish, which is evidenced by the negative split . And I pulled it off, even though my Garmin didn’t work for any portion of the race. So the goals were:

  1. Start the marathon. (Passed)
  2. Finish the marathon. (Passed)
  3. Get a personal best — beat 4:50:19  (Passed)
  4. Finish under 4:30:00 (Passed)
